We Have a TOOTH!!!

Yes, you read it correctly, Tyler cut his first tooth yesterday evening. I checked his gums earlier in the day, still swollen. Then while I was feeding him dinner I thought his gum where the tooth was looked different. Sure enough, after he was done eating I felt his gums again and there it was! The whole thing is a little bitter sweet for me because while I am happy that he is no longer in pain from the tooth trying to break through, it also means that he is growing up & his gummy smile is soon going to change :( Someone please tell me...where does the time go?!?

I tried to get a picture but he wasn't having it so I will post a couple of fun photos instead.

We had a baby blessing/naming for Tyler on Saturday, January 19th. All of our immediate family and closest friends joined us for this very special occassion. Tyler was baptized and was given the hebrew name Moishe Lieb after his grandpa Murray. It was a very beautiful ceremony that was done by Rev. Alison, an interfaith minister. She was very sweet and made a beautiful ceremony that included both our faiths and beliefs.

4 Month Check-up

Yesterday was Tyler's 4 month visit to the doctor. He now weighs 17.4 pounds and is 25" tall! Doctor said he is doing great developmentally and he is in perfect health :) He also had to get the second series of his 2 month shots (HIB & DTAP) I was so proud of my little boy...he did so well! He screamed, of course, when she gave them to him but he only cried for a minute afterwards. That made me feel better about he whole situation. She also wants us to start introducing solid foods. We are to start with rice cereal once a day, after a week twice a day and in 2 weeks he is to start veggies! Boy is this going to be fun! We already gave him the cereal last night....it was hysterical. He did very well and just as I suspected, he not only loved it but was already trying to feed himself! We couldn't get the food in his mouth fast enough...suprise, suprise.

4 Months Already?!?

So, I decided that maybe I should jump on the blogging bandwagon. I am hoping that this will help me keep up with updating pictures for everyone and with that, I can update you on his development and fun day to day activities :)

As of today, Tyler is 4 months and 2 days old!!!! Where has the time gone? Funny thing is, just 2 days ago, not only was it 4 months since Tyler was born but it was also one year ago that we found out that I was pregnant! Crazy how the time just flys by.He is now teething like a mad man. Poor baby drools so much that he soaks at least 3 bibs a day! Sometimes I can't even keep up with it. He is smiling all the time and is giggling more and more each day. That just melts our hearts. To hear that hysterical giggle come out of that big gummy mouth is just priceless. When you dangle a toy in front of him he reaches out with both hands to grab it. He has crazy conversations with his "friends" (the toys on his exersaucer, playmat & bouncy seat). He just loves to stand, doesn't really sit much so I think he is going to be an early walker...aren't we lucky! He also loves to be on his belly and is doing so well with that too. He is starting to lift his whole chest up with his hands and arms now! He also has been sleeping through the night for about a month now (knocking on wood!) That has been wonderful for me & Andrew. Let's see, what else has he been doing???? Well, next Monday we have his 4 month doctor appointment. I always look forward to going to the doctor just to find out how much he has grown in height and weight. At his 3 month visit he was 15.5 pounds & 24". The doctor is also very pleased with how he is growing both physically & developmentally.
